Puddleduck Cottage

Traditional Stone Cornish cottage in a magical location

Lin and Rob invite you to step back in time to a gentler age and share a "Wind in the Willows" Experience: stroll along the river banks through National Trust and private woodlands; spot Egrets and Kingfishers; take to the water in our rowing boat "Lady's Maid"; see fish jumping; cross the river using the stepping stones; feed (puddle)ducks from the shore; catch crabs from the quay; net tiddlers from the shallows; picnic on the riverbank or beside the river on the village green. You may prefer a longer walk to St Winnow, through the woods and along the riverbanks to visit the beautiful riverside church of St Winnow, stopping for an Ice Cream or Cornish Cream Tea at Angie's and visiting her farm museum before returning across fields past Ethy House.

For those unable to escape the pressures of the "real" world, Unlimited High Speed Broadband Internet Access is provided free.

As part of our commitment to a sustainable future we have installed two charging stations for Electric Cars (13amp & 32amp) and PV panels on the roof which provide electricity to the cottage.

OUT OF SEASON Puddleduck has a tariff for 2 people, with a small extra charge per additional person.

Centrally situated. Puddleduck Cottage is an ideal base for exploring - The Eden Project, Lanhydrock, Lost Gardens of Heligan, China Clay Museum, Shipwreck Museum at Charlestown, Lostwithiel (Cornwall's antiques capital), Bodmin Jail, Fowey (take the ferry), the fishing villages of Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey. All are in easy reach, or you could just relax in Lerryn, "a land that time forgot".
