Special Local Events during 2010

• Pine Lodge Gardens, St Austell, Snowdrop Fortnight – 1st to 14th February, with different varieties flowering at different times

• Cornwall Garden Society’s Spring Flower Show at Boconnoc – 10th & 11th April (10.00 to 17.00 Saturday, 10.00 to 16.00 Sunday)

• “Obby Oss” day in Padstow – 1st May Padstow is famous for its May Day festivities when the Obby Oss is released from its stable to welcome in Spring. (Traditionally held on the 1st except when that falls on a Sunday. Festivities are then held on Monday the 2nd)

• Flora Day, Helston – 8th May (Traditionally held every year on May 8th except when this date falls on a Sunday or Monday, then it is held on the preceding Saturday)

• Daphne du Maurier Festival, Fowey – Thursday 13th to Saturday 22nd May

• Lerryn River Yacht Squadron’s Summer Solstice Boat Rally – Saturday 26th June

• Fowey Classic Boat Rally – 3rd to 6th August

• Fowey Regatta Week (including Red Arrows) – 16th to 21st August

• Lerryn River Yacht Squadron’s Seagull Engine Race – probably 29th December (to be confirmed)
